RK ROYAL KLUDGE R98 Pro Wired Mechanical Keyboard

Excellent!

Everything I was looking for. Great size, sound, and price! It's a full keyboard but much smaller than a standard one.

Excelente me encanta !!!!!!

Honesty the best feeling and sounding keyboard you could get for the price! Highly recommend!

I only wish the lights were much brighter. Still a 8.5-9 out of 10.

This keyboard is beautiful and everything I needed. The size fits my small area while getting all the keys I wanted. The switches sound nice and soft so my wife isn't annoyed with the clacking that my old mechanical used to make. The software is in the description as others have mentioned and works great once you find it lol. It has cool lighting features in it and also allows you to map the keys. I made F9-12 multimedia controls so I don't need to press the Fn key along with them. Very happy customer here

Excellent and stylish keyboard. It's become the talk of the office and everyone has to try it out when they walk past my desk. keys are super creamy and have a nice "thock" to them. Every email I have to reply to is a little ASMR session.

It looks incredible and matches my office aesthetic perfectly! Highly recommend!

I paired it with an inexpensive silent click VssoPlor mouse for $10 also on amazon that happens to match it perfectly!

I’ve worked from home for over 20 years, and I’ve always blindfully used the external keyboards provided by my employer. My last one was starting to show its age, when I serendipitously used a a similar keyboard at a friends house. I was hooked! This one just “feels” right and it’s a pleasure to use! The keys are snappy and reactive, but aren’t loud enough for others the hear, I love the volume knob, the color aesthetic is perfect for my office, and the colorful backlights make it fun! I learned to type on a typewriter, and this fondly reminds me of that, without the finger fatigue. It makes me happy…and I find that I’m actually looking forward to digging into text heavy assignments now!

Excellent feel to them I never expected such cheap keyboard to feel so premium

Better than expectation. Very good price point and well made product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
Excellent keyboard. All of the keys work (I've had keyboards where that wasn't the case). Replacing key caps and switches is easy. I replaced the key caps with the ones shown in the photos, but the default ones were great too. Very nicely rounded. Pleasing to look at and type with. The sound of the default switches is really nice. They also feel nice to work with. They make a pleasant sound.

The lighting has a lot of different color and pattern options. I like the one that lights up the row when you type, but I've been experimenting with different options. I like that you don't need any special software to change up the settings.

Keyboard quality:
I love every keyboard I've gotten from Royal Kludge, and this is no exception. Solid quality and a great price for a mechanical keyboard with swappable switches.

Size:
This has all of the keys I like to work with, but takes up less space due to the layout. I have another keyboard in this size, but this one has improved separation between the number keys and the function keys, which I like. It's more aesthetically appealing, in my opinion.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
I heard good things about this keyboard brand from people who know a lot about the hobby.
Value for money:
For the feel of the switches, the durability and the sheer heft, This is the best bang for buck you're gonna get in my experience.
Ease of setup:
Works after plugging in.
Build quality:
Hefty, Got some nice weight to it so it wont move around too easily. The keycaps feel nice.

Amazing product, was worth the price compared to other keyboards on the market. For mechanical keyboards with switches they usually cost upwards of 100$ ++ but this one was very affordable compared to others. I love the sound that it makes and it's ultra smooth.

I was looking for a good wfh keyboard for my office setup at home since I do a lot of typing and this one looked nice and I was looking for one with red or linear switches which would be good for typing. I'd usually used red switches but the creamy ones are nice too in that they are very linear and have no clicks when typing. overall the sound is very thocky. the volume knob is very nice and machined too and overall, it seems to be pretty easy to set up/plug and play. It seems pretty sturdy too.

Great and unique looking keyboard! It is really easy to use and makes my desk look great. I like to switch keyboards often and this is a sleej addition to my desk setup.

Chunky, buttery, ASMR, nice weight, great color. Just wish the keys themselves lit up.

Tastatur macht was sie soll.

Quiet (not silent but good), has multiple color modes and those color nodes can also be set from rainbow to one color (so you can have red plusing or glimering yk), and is a nice design over all.

Cleaning this thing will take time, the spaces between the keys and the keyboard where stuff can get stuck is less than a toothpick. What I'm saying: Don't eat next to it.

Taking out the keys with your fingers is hard so use the tool they give you to do it faster, but it's metal and I heard that can damage the keys slightly?

Whatever, good keyboard and does it's job. (Not putting a pic bc wth is there to see? It's a keyboard.)

Absolutely worth the money, and even got it on sale! As I was looking for a replacement for my Logitech G512 that had finally started to show its age, after nearly 5 years of daily wear and tear from both games and general typing, I stumbled upon this board after seeing the shop it was inside of.

I've been using it now for close to a week, and it has sealed the deal for my desire to build a keyboard once I have the means to do such. Each keycap having a small variance in its elevation by just a few millimeters may not sound like much, but it allows for a much smoother flow in typing and touch feel as you move through the keys. Additionally the sound the keyboard makes with the lubed switches below each key, effectively a quiet thunk-click is just beautiful. Its also much quieter than the G512 was, and is less noticed by people when I am speaking with them over the phone for work. So major win there!

Solid 5/5 stars, if you need a keyboard for a good price and solid function - fully recommend.
