Another Winner.

I'm a pretty big fanboy of Royal Kludge at this point. I own multiple keyboards, mice, and their headset as well. The thing i find with every single product is they always manage to make budget feel bougie. This mouse is great, i play a lot of competitive shooters and 54g is a slightly heavier than my other Royal Kludge Mouse (RKM03) and MUCH lighter than my previous Razer Basilisk v3 it's still feather light and perfect for flicks and quick movements but those few extra grams and the shape of this have made it my daily driver. Simple setup plug and play with the included paracord style USB-C cord and the Dongle which is small and stays out of the way. Battery life has been very good so far and completely outperforms the razer in this department as well. The clicks are satisfying, the scroll wheel feels great as do the two side buttons. It's a simple streamlined mouse that doesn't need RGB or gimmicks to hold its own in my collection. The shape and size is a little taller than my other ultralights with a nice curve that sits really nicely in my hand although this is subjective of course. If you're looking for a g502 weight and feel this is not it but if you need a minimalistic clean and high performing gaming mouse this is the one.

Lightest mouse I've ever used!

I am no expert on gaming mice, and usually use a trackball for my CAD/CAM and graphics work. I am also a long time user/fan of Royal Kludge mechanical keyboards. I couldn't help but want to try out one of their mice. First impression was that this is THE lightest mouse I have ever used, maybe even too light! I have large hands, so this feels a little small, as most mice do to me. It glides across my desk pad effortlessly. The precision is extremely high, and lets me do things the way I am accustomed to with my trackballs. It was basically plug-and-play with my MAC Mini. The connectivity options (2.4/bluetooth/hard wired) make it easy to use with all my devices. It even comes with a very nice cloth wrapped USB charging/connectivity cord. All of RK's products in my experience, provide superior performance at a very competitive/low price. Overall, Highly Recommended!

Lightweight and feels cheap

Over the course of a month since I had this, I don't have any issues using this mouse in operation. I like how it has back and forward buttons on the side and are big enough for your thumbs. The response time is nice and holds up during long intense gaming sessions.

With that being said, I hate how light this mouse is. Some people may like a lightweight mouse and so do I. The problem, this weighs practically nothing. It's way too light. Once you hold it, the casing of the mouse is very smooth. Too smooth. I would describe it as holding a wet bar of soap in the shower. I've had this slip out of my hand when I try to pick it up and move it somewhere else. To be fair, when you're using it, you don't think about it. What this mouse really needs is some kind of texture or rubber so I can keep my grip when I hold this.

The mouse lets you connect this over Bluetooth, it's wireless dongle or wired with the included cable. One bizarre thing is that the dongle is not a traditional USB receiver but instead a trapezoid shaped receiver that you have to connect it to your PC with a cable. This seems very unnecessary with this design since the mouse has a hidden compartment for a traditional USB receiver to store it when not in use. But the receiver you get clearly does not fit in that slot. Which mean you need to be careful where you store the receiver when you're not using it.

Other than that, the mouse itself is fine. The shape of the mouse in general is really good and comfortable to use.

It Beats My Old Mouse!

I'm extremely happy with this mouse!

It runs off Bluetooth. It's fast, it's rechargeable, it has more buttons than I can use, and it's comfortable!

Zero latency. And doesn't eat my cheese!

Most importantly it's ergonomic, so my hand isn't sore from using it (I'm a developer).

The scroll works great with both my Linux and Win11 systems. It's light, but durable. Internal battery lasts forever. And it has features I haven't even used yet.

I'm tossing my old one. This is my new, favorite mouse!

5 full stars because of comfort and usefulness.

Super smooth

I love this mouse!! I have no idea what the skates on the bottom are made of but it glides quieter and smoother on my glass mousepad than any of the several other mice I have seriously it's bizarre it feels like butter!

Other than that it's quick, tracks nicely I like the sensor it uses for tracking i have two other mice with it and it has become my favorite sensor, the clicks are nice and tactile, no dicernable lag, the size and grip is perfect for medium sized hands, the only one downside I have is the feeling of is is kind of slippery/chalky, nothing some grip tape won't fix though!

Also very light, it's up there with some of the skeleton mice I've used. Overall 5/5!

High End Mouse Specs for Gaming

This a Chinese branded gaming mouse with high end specs, which you typically see in a Logitech or Razer gaming mouse. At 8K, 24K DPI, these are very good specs for gaming mouse, and the ergo is ok. That said, one needs to test drive the mouse to ensure it works for them. At under seventy dollars, it's not bad, for an all-purpose mouse, since a good Logitech non-gaming, but productivity mouse, would prob cost about the same.

Overall, this product weighs 54 grams, which is about 1.905 ounces. I actually prefer a little heavier mouse, but if someone wants a lighter mouse, this could be an option.

A solid, easy to use mouse.

The first thing that really surprised me about this most was its weight, it's almost weightless. It feels very light in the hand, and that may help with hand fatigue while you are working. it has a number of options to connect, which I found very helpful. You can connect via Bluetooth, you can use the USB cable to connect directly, or you can use the included receiver, which also connects to your computer or laptop via USB-C.

I did find it a little difficult to get things connected at first. The option that worked best for me was using the receiver, and the reason that I was having trouble was that the included USB-C cable didn't function properly. I'm not sure if it just wasn't powerful enough or if there was an issue with the cord itself, but either way, once I found a new USB-C cord, all was well.

You'll find this mouse is responsive to no matter what level of sensitivity you're looking for. Some of the levels move the mouse so quickly that it was impossible to use, but perhaps for someone with a larger screen or a bigger system, it might be the setting they need. You can choose via a button on the bottom of the mouse that will change how quickly your most response.

I found this mouse to be comfortable in the hand and very easy to move and work with.

A fine gaming mouse, missing a crucial piece

(Note: This gaming mouse was missing its USB 2.4 GHz dongle)

This gaming mouse has interesting features that sadly don't meet my needs as a gamer but I won't hold it against its high quality build. It's a great, comfortable mouse for people with small to medium hands. My large Canadian Lumberjack paws are too big for it to be truly comfortable.

While it is responsive and connects easily through Bluetooth, the instruction manual is too short and doesn't clearly explain how the included "8K receptor" works.

Finally, while I'm slowly getting used to it, the mouse has a satiny-silicon texture I don't enjoy. That combined with its smaller size makes it a no go for me. But again, it's not a critique on the product itself, but it's specific use for me.

Leichte Gaming-Maus

Good value wireless gaming mouse

Solid gaming mouse that is very light with good hand feel. Very accurate sensor, and good battery life. I switch it between a laptop and desktop and it works well on all. No problems and good value with this brand.

Adequate

𝘁𝗹;𝗱𝗿: Great sensor, decent skates, budget-feeling.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
🎯 Tracks pretty well. No complaints on accuracy or consistency, and the PAW3950 sensor feels responsive whether I'm flicking or making slow, precise movements.
📐 The shape is weird. A bit tall for its smaller form factor. It's not uncomfortable, but it feels bulkier than I expected, especially compared to flatter ergo mice in this price range.
🏗️ The housing has noticeable flex, and the clicks feel a bit hollow, nothing that ruins the experience, but it's a clear sign of where corners were cut.
⛸️ The skate surfaces are nice. Large, smooth, and glide well right out of the box.

Overall, like a budget mouse at a bit of a higher price point in the budget range. Still pretty solid; should be up for consideration if on sale.

Solid mouse, great price.

I've been a PC gamer my entire life so I quite a bit of experience using all sorts of mice. This mouse is 'ok' - but mice are very 'personal'

As far as what's in the hardware - it has a fantastic sensor and it seems to perform well. The claim of 8000 polling rate is fantastic, but that's mostly marketing gimmick at this point as most pros don't use that high. I personally found small improvement instead of using ~1K polling, and 1K polling is a lot better on the battery, so i just used that, even for gaming. It feels smooth and compared to my current mouse, its slightly smaller, and more of a 'hump' so it took some getting use to.

One of the most impressive things is the battery life. I got about 128 hours at 1000Hz, which is very close to the advertised rate.

I also really liked the look of this mouse. The switches feel pretty good. It's weight is a tad on the heavy side by today's standards. They don't use dot skates, so you could trim off a little bit of that, but it's not winning any awards for lightest mouse.

Where it falls short, for me, is honestly the actual feel of the mouse. The shape is fine, but I found the plastic/finish they use, my hand tended to slip or feel strange on it. Maybe with more hours it would break in but its the first time I've had this type of feeling with a mouse.

Also, the web app wasn't great, but most of these web apps aren't good for configuring mouse. Overall, it's a solid option and offers pretty good bang for the buck. As with any mouse, if you can, try it out somewhere first, before purchasing.

Extremely lightweight with accurate response

This PC mouse is extremely lightweight. Weighing in at just 56g this is the lightest wireless mouse I've ever used. Battery life has been crazy impressive for what must be the tiniest battery in a mouse ever, given the weight. It has been an excellent pairing with my Royal Kludge keyboard and so far has been running three days with a recharge in bluetooth mode. Very impressed with this mouse. I've had zero lag issues and it wakes up from sleep almost instantaneously.

Royal Kludge MG5, silly name, great mouse, good value

I got this Royal Kludge MG5 for testing, alongside an Attack Shark X11 Ultra. Royal Kludge is an interesting brand, I mean the name is silly really, "Kludge", like sludge, make me think of sewage, royal sewage. Oh well, it's a genuinely good brand, they've been producing excellent keyboards for a number of years now and are well trusted.

The shape on this mouse is a little unusual for a gayming mouse, it reminds me more of an old-school Logitech productivity mouse, but it works well and is comfortable. At 54g it’s a light mouse, matching my Cherry Xtrfy that I use every day, and lighter than the Attack Shark X11 I tested at the same time. I'm not sure ultimately how much this matters, would I even notice an extra 10g? 20g even? I know that we used to ADD weight to our mice back in the day.. Gaming mice often came with an array of weights to get the exact feel you wanted, and I was very competitive using what would now be considered an absurdly heavy mouse! This has a 650mAh battery, which equates to about two days of intermittent (but heavy) use. I’d gladly take an extra 10g of weight if it would extend that to three or four days.

It has the newest PAW3950 sensor and as you'd expect, it’s stupidly accurate. Tracking feels perfect in games, super smooth with zero jitter even during fast flicks, and the 8K polling makes everything feel instant. Clicks are nice and consistent on the Omron switches, no double-clicking or debounce issues, debounce is adjustable in the software also which is a nice touch for the obsessives such as myself. Speaking of software, it's web-based and unlike that of the Attack Shark, it works really well.

At £69.99 (down to £59.99 with the voucher) its better value than the flashier Attack Shark mouse, especially considering Royal Kludge’s decent reputation, but I have to say, I find the shape to be a little odd, and the appearance to be restrained. Ultimately though, if you want the PAW3950 in an affordable mouse from a trusted brand, this is a great option.

Okay Mouse But Pricey For What You Get - RK ROYAL KLUDGE MG5 8K Wireless Gaming Mouse

The "RK ROYAL KLUDGE MG5 8K Wireless Gaming Mouse, 42K DPI PAW3950 Sensor, 56g Lightweight Ergonomic Mouse, Dual 8000Hz Polling Rate, Tri-Mode 2.4G/BT/USB-C, Programmable Web Drive for PC Win/Mac" works well, but could use some improvement.

This mouse has a lot of great features, rechargeable battery (recharged via USB-C cable included), glides/slides easily, connects via included wireless adapter, Bluetooth, or directly connected via the USB cable.

Things that I don't love are that it must have a mouse pad and it does not feel like a quality product. From my experience, I have to use a mouse pad. This could be due to my desks surface and all desks may have a slightly different surface, so you may be okay. But for me it did not move the pointer smooth on screen and would jump and/or not move sometimes until I placed a mouse pad under it. My last mouse did not need a mouse pad.

It does work well, but I do not love how it feels in my hand. Maybe I am just too used to my old mouse, but this one just does not feel solid and that is the feel that I really like in a mouse.

Overall, it has some good features and works pretty well, but I do feel that it is a little pricey for what it is.

Pretty decent mouse

I'm a big fan of RK and all of their products. This mouse does seems to be a little less solid than the other products I have but still not bad at all. I think it comes down to personal preference. First off, the mouse is super light. I generally like a little weight behind my mice, I find that I am pretty rough with them (comes from growing up with 'ball mice' no doubt). I'm also not big on the angle of the buttons. The mouse purposefully slants for a more ergonomic feel, which sounds great but it's just not for me. I find myself constantly repositioning my hand throughout the day, never quite sure if I'm comfortable. That being said, it seems to be made with quality, as with all RK units. It's hyper-responsive and works as expected. I think overall this mouse offers a lot to love and my nitpicking is simply preferential.

Lightweight, good design, no fluff, flexible modes of connection.

This mouse is a great mouse for mobile setups. It has great response time, and with its ability to connect to its dongle, or use Bluetooth, or hardwire, it's also very versatile.

I have used, and do use Royal Kludge products before with their keyboards being the best keyboard I've ever used. This mouse is also something I find myself liking very much. It just works, no fluff.

One thing I really like: its weight. It's LIGHT. Like, really light. A lot of people would associate this with a lack of quality, but I have the opposite opinion.

A lot of mice, maybe even every mouse I've used, have steel or lead weights literally added to them to add weight as a sort of artificial feeling of quality.

This mouse doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, you can feel that it doesn't have any nonsense inside of it, and I appreciate that a lot. Besides, I actually prefer a lighter mouse to begin with. You can maneuver them better, and it's much more airy feeling when playing games. Very much a plus.

The DPI button is on the bottom, which is really the only thing preventing me from recommending this for heavy gaming use, but that's really a small thing.

The bigger one is the scroll wheel. I feel it's just a tad too stiff for my liking. I can tell it has just a bit too much spring force with every scroll, so it does seem to get tiring after a while.

Otherwise, this mouse is absolutely amazing. The material feel is awesome. I know it's just plastic, but the texture that the mouse has almost makes it have a slick satin feel to it. I LOVE how it feels.

Overall, 9/10. If the scroll wheel weight was decreased a little bit, I'd absolutely put this mouse on every computer I have. Great product.

Very Light and Small, but That Empty Compartment Needs an Explanation

The RK MG5 8K arrives in clean packaging and makes a solid first impression. At around 54g it lives up to the lightweight claim — picking it up feels almost surprising, like you're expecting more mouse than is actually there. The matte finish is consistent and professional, the shape is a compact right-handed ergonomic form that sits naturally in the palm, and the two side buttons are positioned well for thumb access without being accidental press territory. The braided USB-C cable is included and feels appropriately flexible.

The 2.4GHz dongle is a chunky rectangular puck that stores in a compartment on the underside of the mouse — which brings up the one thing that genuinely puzzled me out of the box. The underside also has a second recessed compartment that opens and is completely empty. No explanation in the manual for what it's meant to hold. It's sized like it could store something — possibly a second dongle or adapter — but nothing came with the mouse to fill it, and the manual doesn't address it.

The sensor switch on the bottom, the connection mode toggle between B (Bluetooth) and G (2.4G), and the power button are all clearly labeled and accessible. The PAW3950 sensor specs are legitimately competitive for the tier.
